Whenever I think about the meeting of two souls who feel familiar, I look back on the the Turkish term “tevâfuk” — this term describes the harmony of two souls whose meeting wasn’t a coincidence. Rather, the meeting of these souls is predetermined, as everything happens due to the Power and Will of Allah (God). Truly, our souls have already met in the realm of souls and long before we were born, Allah (God) determined that our souls are going to meet in this world. We wander through the universe thinking that we will find someone or someone will find us, while not being conscious that we are already taking all the necessary steps which are meant to bring us together.
Our souls are destined to reunite in this world.

اللهُمَّ طَهِّرْ قَلْبِي مِنْ كُلِّ خُلُقٍ لا يُرْضِيْكَ
“O Allāh, purify my heart from every characteristic that is not pleasing to You”
This dua was asked by the companions of prophet ﷺ.
رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
Transliteration
Rabbana aamana faktubna ma’ ash-shahideen
Meaning
Our Lord! We believe; write us down among the witnesses.
